Coming to our Bournemouth activity centre in May 2019. Mixing bubble football, battle archery and our assault course, clear your head, and get the heart pumping, as you challenge all comers to some frantic games

Bubble football,, a fun, fast paced and slightly chaotic game. Strap yourself into the giant bubble and bump and bounce yourself through a frantic game. A five-a-side game is the norm, allowing for some much need subs, playing against each other, or other teams on the day. Battle archery, with inflatable walls, trenches and barricades, setting the scene for a combination of game scenarios, including the standard team against team and last man standing. Climb, crawl, balance and roll your way through the obstacles on the assault course, with some surprises thrown in on the way.

How does the activity run?
The group is split into teams and play against each other and possibly other teams on the day.
I have never played football and have no idea of the rules, is this a problem?
No you will be at an advantage if this is the case. This is because the games are played in fun manner, normally we make up the rules, and anyone taking too seriously will probably get a red card!.
I don't have a pair of football boots, what do i wear?
Normal clothing is fine, and normal footwear is required not football boots, you must wear shoes that will not fall off, and that cover the whole foot, i.e no flip flops or high heels.
Does Battle Archery require a lot of strength to take part?
Not necessarily, the objective is to keep the bow steady so we use lightweight training bows. Battle Archery is more about the technique and consistency, this requires more skill and concentration than just strength.
What is the minimum/maximum group size?
The activities are all team based games. It does require a minimum team 10 people to play at least 5 a side. Normally we will have other teams present in order to allow for a knockout or round robin tournament, or you may just play amongst yourselves. If your team size is less than 10 people and no other teams are playing we will offer you a choice of playing a different format or another activity.
What day can i book, are you only open at weekends?
Predominantly we are open on Saturday for group bookings, but do open during the week. Any booking would be subject to availability and group size. Please call to discuss options.
How long does the session last?
The 3 activities will run for roughly 2 hours and 45 minutes. In certain circumstances such as a small group where your health and safety could be at risk from overconfidence, we may reduce this time. Alternatively if you are acting beyond what Max Events, or our instructors deem safe/acceptable, you will be asked to leave the activity. No refunds will apply for misuse of equipment.
How long will I be on site?
This is dependant on the package booked but we ask that you arrive half hour prior to the start of your activities, and you will need at least 15 minutes from when the activities have finished to getting in your car.
Minimum age
There is no requirement specifically on age. You must however be physically able to take part. For this reason we suggest a minimum age of 14 years.
Minimum height
We have a minimum height guide of 5ft 4.
Am I insured?
Max Events carries £10 million public liability insurance. This covers us and you in the event of our negligence subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. By taking part in an activity you are accepting that there are risks, you are provided with all instruction necessary to complete the activity safely, if you choose to ignore our instructions and operate any equipment beyond your ability or the boundaries that we provide then you will not be covered, it does not cover you for acts of stupidity or if an incident arises beyond our control.
Medical, Physical concerns
All the activities are fast paced, requiring full mobility and participation is voluntary on each activity. Please be aware of your own capabilities. For more specific information please refer to the specific FAQ’s for each activity. For your safety please contact us before your event day if any of your group has any Medical, Physical or Mental conditions or disabilities which might affect them taking part in the activities.
Can we operate in any weather?
Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. We work very hard to ensure your event runs smoothly and with the required activities in your booking. If we feel we have a health and safety issue we would try and make contact in the week prior to your arrival and offer some alternative suggestions. In extreme circumstances on the day we may have to offer an alternative activity which carries an equal or greater value. Please be aware no refunds will be made if we are open and you cannot make the event, for whatever reason.
Will I get dirty / Do you provide overalls?
The assault course is outdoors and open to the elements. Hot and sunny you will get dusty, wet and you will get muddy. We do provide overalls when required.
What should I wear?
Loose fitting layered clothing, so you can remove some if you get too hot, and replace when cooling down.
Do you provide gloves?
No but if you require we may have some in stock to purchase.
Do I need specific footwear?
Either trainers or walking boots are a must. Its handy to have a bit of grip. You must wear shoes that will not fall off, and that cover the whole foot, i.e no flip flops.
Can I bring my own gear?
No. We need to ensure that all equipment is safe and to the required standard. Everyone plays with the same equipment to maintain fair play.
Do I have to wear a face mask?
Yes in all circumstances to comply with our insurance face masks are compulsory.
Can I wear fancy dress?
Yes, if you want to come along as a Hoddle lookalike or put you hair up like Bale, it’s not a problem, so long as it does not have the potential to be caught in any moving parts, does not impair vision, means you are still wearing the correct footwear and safety gear.
Do you provide any safety equipment?
Yes we provide all necessary safety equipment for each activity, as outlined by our insurance obligations.
