  • Timed Competition – 3 laps. First lap is an out lap, enables you to have a rolling start for the timed second lap, third lap is a cool down. All 3 laps incur penalties

We offer practice and then timed competition. We don't run head to head races as the equipment is built to be bigger and faster than other vehicles used at other centres. We want you to experience the drive, if you want grand prix, go go-karting instead!

No. The design of the course is set restrict your speed. The vehicles are designed with great acceleration, allowing you to come on and off the gas, and show off your driving skills, as you navigate around the track

There is no minimum group size and up to a maximum team size of 15 people, if your group size is larger than this you will be split over 2 or more tracks or you will be provided with more time. If you have a group of less than 6 people we reserve the right to mix you with another party.

Predominantly we are open on Saturday for group bookings, but do open during the week. Any booking would be subject to availability and group size. Please call to discuss options.

Activity time is based on group size, number of buggies supplied and option booked. with our Standard option with 3 buggies for a group of up to 6 people the activity will last around 30 minutes 7-9 people 45 minutes 10-12 people 1 hour 13-15 people 1 hour 15 minutes In certain circumstances such as a small group where your health and safety could be at risk from overconfidence, we may reduce this time. Alternatively if you are acting beyond what Max Events, or our instructors deem safe/acceptable, you will be asked to leave the activity. No refunds will apply for misuse of equipment.

This is dependant on the package booked but we ask that you arrive half hour prior to the start of your activities, and you will need at least 15 minutes from when the activities have finished to getting in your car.

Yes for this activity a driving license is required. Please advise if there are people in the group with no experience. Age 17+

The buggies have plenty of power but if you're over 18 stone (115 Kg) it can be a squeeze to get in and out. It can depend on your build but 18 stone is really the limit. Maximum height for a comfortable drive is 6ft.

Max Events carries £5 million public liability insurance. This covers us and you in the event of our negligence subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. By taking part in an activity you are accepting that there are risks, you are provided with all instruction necessary to complete the activity safely, if you choose to ignore our instructions and operate any equipment beyond your ability or the boundaries that we provide then you will not be covered, it does not cover you for acts of stupidity or if an incident arises beyond our control. Please be aware any activity we offer can result in injury or death.

The Honda Pilot off road buggies requirements are that there must be 2 hands on the steering control whilst driving, the emergency kill switch is operated with the left hand. The accelerator and brake are both controlled with the right leg, similar to driving an automatic car. It is a requirement for a rider to be able to control all these functions. For your safety please contact us before your event day if any of your group has any Medical, Physical or Mental conditions or disabilities which might affect them taking part in the activities.

Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. We work very hard to ensure your event runs smoothly and with the required activities in your booking. If we feel we have a health and safety issue we would try and make contact in the week prior to your arrival and offer some alternative suggestions. In extreme circumstances on the day we may have to offer an alternative activity which carries an equal or greater value. Please be aware no refunds will be made if we are open and you cannot make the event, for whatever reason.

All our tracks are outdoors so this is dependent on the weather. Hot and sunny you will get dusty, wet and you will get muddy. We do not provide overalls for each individual person, we do have a range of overalls for sale on the day, prices start at £2.00 and in most cases this is enough to keep you relatively clean.
Specific clothing and can I wear fancy dress?

Clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Either trainers or walking boots are a must. You must wear shoes that will not fall off, and that cover the whole foot, i.e no flip flops. Yes, so long as it does not have the potential to be caught in any moving parts, does not impair vision, means you are still wearing the correct footwear.
