How does the activity run?

We offer practice and then timed competition. 2 buggies on the track. We don't run head to head races as the equipment is built to be bigger and faster than other vehicles used at other centres. We want you to experience the drive, if you want grand prix, go go-karting instead! We normally run half of the number of quads for your group size, but dependant on your skill levels can run a minimum of a third of the number of quads for your group size. With Crossbows, axes and archery we have between two and 6 people shooting at one time dependent on group size and time available. We offer a practice and competition Laser Clays you will receive 1 instructor per group. Each session will include a variety of simulated targets, and competitions.

Not necessarily, the heaviest activity uses a shotgun (3.5KG). Generally the activities requires more skill and concentration than just strength.

There is no minimum group size and up to a maximum group size of 70+ people, if your group size is larger than this you will be provided with more time. If you have a group of less than 6 people we reserve the right to mix you with another party.

Predominantly we are open on Saturday for group bookings, but do open during the week. Any booking would be subject to availability and group size. Please call to discuss options.

Each activity slot is dependent on your group size. As a guide, for each activity 1-6 people it will take 30 minutes, 8-10 people 45 minutes and 11-15 people one hour. So Double this time if you are doing 2 activities, triple time for 3 activities and so on. In certain circumstances such as a small group where your health and safety could be at risk from overconfidence, we may reduce this time. Alternatively if you are acting beyond what Max Events, or our instructors deem safe/acceptable, you will be asked to leave the activity. No refunds will apply for misuse of equipment.

This is dependant on the package booked but we ask that you arrive half hour prior to the start of your activities, and you will need at least 15 minutes from when the activities have finished to getting in your car.

Yes for this activity a driving license is required. Please advise if there are people in the group with no experience. Age 17+ The buggies have plenty of power but if you're over 18 stone (115 Kg) it can be a squeeze to get in and out. It can depend on your build but 18 stone is really the limit. Maximum height for a comfortable drive is 6ft. The quads have plenty of power but are designed for a maximum of 23 stone or 150 kg. No gun license is required and there is no requirement specifically on age. You must however be physically able to hold the shotgun and crossbow.

Max Events carries £5 million public liability insurance. This covers us and you in the event of our negligence subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. By taking part in an activity you are accepting that there are risks, you are provided with all instruction necessary to complete the activity safely, if you choose to ignore our instructions and operate any equipment beyond your ability or the boundaries that we provide then you will not be covered, it does not cover you for acts of stupidity or if an incident arises beyond our control. Please be aware any activity we offer can result in injury or death.

Our Crossbow ranges are designed to be used with shooters in a standing upright position. One arm holds/supports the bow, the other hand is used to control the trigger. It is a requirement for a participant to be able to control all these functions. We may in some cases be able to provide a lane for wheelchair users, please call to check. Quad biking does require good balance, one leg either side of the saddle for stability and hands on the steering, the throttle is on the right hand side of the bike, brakes on the left and right, and emergency engine kill switch is on the left hand side of the handle bars. It is a requirement for a rider to be able to control all these functions The Honda Pilot off road buggies requirements are that there must be 2 hands on the steering control whilst driving, the emergency kill switch is operated with the left hand. The accelerator and brake are both controlled with the right leg, similar to driving an automatic car. It is a requirement for a rider to be able to control all these functions. Our Archery ranges are designed to be used with shooters in a standing upright position. One hand holds/supports the bow, the other pulls the sting back. It is a requirement for a participant to be able to control all these functions. We may in some cases be able to provide a lane for wheelchair users, please call to check. Our Axes are designed to be thrown one handed and from a standing upright position. It is a requirement for a participant to be able to control all these functions. We may in some cases be able to provide a lane for wheelchair users, please call to check. For your safety please contact us before your event day if any of your group has any Medical, Physical or Mental conditions or disabilities which might affect them taking part in the activities

Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. We work very hard to ensure your event runs smoothly and with the required activities in your booking. If we feel we have a health and safety issue we would try and make contact in the week prior to your arrival and offer some alternative suggestions. In extreme circumstances on the day we may have to offer an alternative activity which carries an equal or greater value. Please be aware no refunds will be made if we are open and you cannot make the event, for whatever reason.

No, if your just doing these activities you wont get muddy.

Clothing you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Either trainers or walking boots are a must. You must wear shoes that will not fall off, and that cover the whole foot, i.e no flip flops. Yes, so long as it does not have the potential to be caught in any moving parts, does not impair vision, means you are still wearing the correct footwear.
