How does the activity run?
How does the activity run?
You will receive 1 instructor per group. This package includes 20 Clays, but you can add more. You will receive practice and competition shots. We normally run half of the number of quads for your group size, but dependant on your skill levels can run a minimum of a third of the number of quads for your group size. For the football the group is split into teams and play against each other and possibly other teams on the day. The blind driving we normally use a manual drive off road vehicle. The instructor sits in the passenger seat to maintain control, with a variety of passengers (between 1 and 4) in the back issuing directions. If capable everyone drives and navigates, if you have younger party members, they will navigate you.

Our quad biking is a physical activity. By splitting the group into 2 this allows for people to have a breather in between drives. This makes the session more relaxed and potentially the small break allows the driver to relax and refresh. The safe waiting is track side so whilst waiting you are able to watch the other part of the group.

In Bristol the guns we use are standard over and under 12 gauge shotguns. In Bournemouth due to planning restrictions we use a moderated hushpower semi auto. The guns can become heavy whilst taking part. There is no problem with the instructor assisting and taking some of the weight, or if you would like to take a break, that is no problem. With some advance warning we maybe able to provide a lighter gun. If you are concerned please let us know when booking.

There is no minimum group size and up to a maximum group size of 30 people, if your group size is larger than this you will be provided with more time. If you have a group of less than 6 people we reserve the right to mix you with another party.

Predominantly we are open on Saturday for group bookings, but do open during the week. Any booking would be subject to availability and group size. Please call to discuss options.

Each activity slot is dependent on your group size. As a guide, for each activity 1-6 people it will take 30 minutes, 8-10 people 45 minutes and 11-15 people one hour. So Double this time if you are doing 2 activities, triple time for 3 activities and so on. In certain circumstances such as a small group where your health and safety could be at risk from overconfidence, we may reduce this time. Alternatively if you are acting beyond what Max Events, or our instructors deem safe/acceptable, you will be asked to leave the activity. No refunds will apply for misuse of equipment.

This is dependant on the package booked but we ask that you arrive half hour prior to the start of your activities, and you will need at least 15 minutes from when the activities have finished to getting in your car.

No driving license is required but drivers must be 16 and over. The quads have plenty of power but are designed for a maximum of 23 stone or 150 kg. For the football You have to be able to see over the bar, so we have a minimum height guide of 5ft 4. For the blind drive no license is required and there is no requirement specifically on age. In order to drive you must have some driving experience. If you have younger people, or non drivers in the group we will do our best to try and get the driving but it maybe they provide the navigation only. No gun license is required The Firearms act of 1968 states you can shoot under supervision at any age. Under the current law you are allowed to handle a shotgun without a license under supervision from the license holder (us), as long as you have not received a previous conviction preventing you from doing so. If you are unsure please ask.

Max Events carries £5 million public liability insurance. This covers us and you in the event of our negligence subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. By taking part in an activity you are accepting that there are risks, you are provided with all instruction necessary to complete the activity safely, if you choose to ignore our instructions and operate any equipment beyond your ability or the boundaries that we provide then you will not be covered, it does not cover you for acts of stupidity or if an incident arises beyond our control. Please be aware any activity we offer can result in injury or death.

Our Ranges are designed to be used with shooters in a standing upright position. One arm holds/supports the barrel, the other hand is used to control the trigger. It is a requirement for a participant to be able to control all these functions. We may in some cases be able to provide a lane for wheelchair users, please call to check. Any firearm we use, does have an element of recoil which may aggravate an existing shoulder/collarbone injury. Quad biking does require good balance, one leg either side of the saddle for stability and hands on the steering, the throttle is on the right hand side of the bike, brakes on the left and right, and emergency engine kill switch is on the left hand side of the handle bars. It is a requirement for a rider to be able to control all these functions. The Blind drive requirements are that there must be at least 1 hand on the steering wheel whilst driving. We do tend to use manual drive so it is important to be able to control the clutch, brake and accelerator. It is a requirement for a rider to be able to control all these functions. Human table Football is a fast paced, energetic game, requiring participants to move from side to side. It requires contact with at least one hand on the bar. For your safety please contact us before your event day if any of your group has any Medical, Physical or Mental conditions or disabilities which might affect them taking part in the activities.

Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. We work very hard to ensure your event runs smoothly and with the required activities in your booking. If we feel we have a health and safety issue we would try and make contact in the week prior to your arrival and offer some alternative suggestions. In extreme circumstances on the day we may have to offer an alternative activity which carries an equal or greater value. Please be aware no refunds will be made if we are open and you cannot make the event, for whatever reason.

Yes we provide all necessary safety equipment for each activity, as outlined by our insurance obligations. In all circumstances to comply with our insurance, helmets are compulsory. You can bring your own helmet as long as it conforms to British safety standards.

All our tracks are outdoors so this is dependant on the weather. Hot and sunny you will get dusty, wet and you will get muddy. We do provide overalls if its wet and muddy but not fresh for each individual person, we do have a range of overalls for sale on the day, prices start at £2.00 and in most cases this is enough to keep you relatively clean.
Clothing and can I wear fancy dress?

Either trainers or walking boots are a must. You must wear shoes that will not fall off, and that cover the whole foot, i.e no flip flops. Fancy dress, yes, it’s not a problem, so long as it does not have the potential to be caught in any moving parts, does not impair vision, means you are still wearing the correct footwear and safety gear.
