How does the activity run?
We offer a practice skills area to demonstrate competence and build up confidence, then onto the main course
What is the minimum/maximum group size?
There are no limits, the Activity centre section is designed for individuals to groups of any size offering a specific time on the activities.
What day can i book, are you only open Monday to Friday?
The activity centre is open 7 days a week, excluding our Bournemouth centre which is closed on Sundays. All bookings are subject to availability and group size. Please call to discuss options.
How long does the session last?
It depends whether you have a standard, large or max session. The activity briefing will take roughly 15 minutes and then the specific time on an activity.
A standard session guarantees a drive time of 20 minutes, a Large session 30 minutes and max session 45 minutes drive time. These times are guaranteed and even our standard drive time provides more than many competitors. It will still take a group of 2 people roughly 45 minutes to get through a standard session as we do not rush the experience and can provide a couple of drives, with breaks in between, allowing for hints and tips.
If you are acting beyond what Max Events, or our instructors deem safe/acceptable, you will be asked to leave the activity. No refunds will apply for misuse of equipment.
How long will I be on site?
This is dependant on the package booked but we ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your activities, and you will need at least 15 minutes from when the activities have finished to getting in your car.
Duration is dependant on your activity choices but as a rule of thumb, If you book one activity you will be roughly on site for 1hr 30 min, 2 activities just over 2 hours, 3 activities 3 hours and so on.
Minimum age
The manufacturer's guideline is a minimum age of 16 years
Do I need a driving license?
No driving license is required but drivers must be 16 and over.
Maximum weight
The quads have plenty of power but are designed for a maximum of 18 stone or 114 kg.
Am I insured?
Max Events carries £5 million public liability insurance. This covers us and you in the event of our negligence subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. By taking part in an activity you are accepting that there are risks, you are provided with all instruction necessary to complete the activity safely, if you choose to ignore our instructions and operate any equipment beyond your ability or the boundaries that we provide then you will not be covered, it does not cover you for acts of stupidity or if an incident arises beyond our control.
Medical, Physical concerns
Quad biking does require good balance, one leg either side of the saddle for stability and hands on the steering, the throttle is on the right hand side of the bike, brakes on the left and right, and emergency engine kill switch is on the left hand side of the handle bars. It is a requirement for a rider to be able to control all these functions. For your safety please contact us before your event day if any of your group has any Medical, Physical or Mental conditions or disabilities which might affect them taking part in the activities.
Can we operate in any weather?
Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. We work very hard to ensure your event runs smoothly and with the required activities in your booking. If we feel we have a health and safety issue we would try and make contact in the week prior to your arrival and offer some alternative suggestions. In extreme circumstances on the day we may have to offer an alternative activity which carries an equal or greater value. Please be aware no refunds will be made if we are open and you cannot make the event, for whatever reason.
Will I get dirty / Do you provide overalls?
All our tracks are outdoors so this is dependant on the weather. Hot and sunny you will get dusty, wet and you will get muddy. We do not provide overalls for each individual person, we do have a range of overalls for sale on the day, prices start at £2.00 and in most cases this is enough to keep you relatively clean.
Do you provide gloves?
No but if you require we may have some in stock to purchase.
Do I need specific footwear?
Either trainers or walking boots are a must. You must wear shoes that will not fall off, and that cover the whole foot, i.e.. no flip flops.
Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes if it conforms to European/British standard.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes in all circumstances to comply with our insurance helmets are compulsory.
Do you provide any safety equipment?
Yes we provide all necessary safety equipment for each activity, as outlined by our insurance obligations.
Can I wear fancy dress?
